The sky was heavy, so were the rains,
Chasing the bus through fleeting lanes.
Running toward the craziest day,
I wished for an umbrella, yet loved the gray.
I reached my place, drenched yet whole,
As the heaviest rains took their toll.
Never loved the rains—soaked in despair,
The sky seemed to cry, its burdens laid bare.
Like the rain’s heavy sobs, we too run,
Chasing shadows under a fleeting sun.
But this day was different, it shifted my way,
For the moment I saw you, my world turned away.
At the bus stand, chilled by rain’s embrace,
I saw you, and time slowed its pace.
Running toward me—was it real, was it true?
The smile, the eyes, the wind in your hair’s hue.
The world stood still, a sight to keep,
A vision so beautiful, it made me weep.
Our eyes met and locked, her gaze so shy,
She smiled, then turned, and passed me by.
But oh, this was the last bus tonight,
I leapt aboard, just to hold on tight.
In the crowded hum, my heart replayed,
A moment of magic that wouldn’t fade.
Dreams of her began to define
My thoughts, my nights, my heart’s design.
Yet days passed by, smiles exchanged,
Unspoken words left our story unchanged.
Still, her image lingered—her hair, her eyes,
A muse that made my soul arise.
If I had the words, I’d write a tome,
To make her mine, to call her home.
The world speaks of beauty, fleeting and rare,
But she made it perfect with her kindness and care.
To be humble, to smile, to spread delight,
I longed to tell her—she made life right.
One day, with trembling hands, I tried,
I passed her a letter, my heart open wide.
She smiled, then hugged me, as if to say,
“I’ve read your soul, and I’ll stay this way.”
Perhaps she’ll read my words tonight,
A poem, a love letter, a spark alight.
And maybe, just maybe, she’ll decide,
That together, we’ll walk through life side by side.
