Small cosplayer’s tale..

By

It was meant to be strange,
A cosplayer’s world, a realm of the cringe—
Yet somehow, I wished to be seen,
A boy chasing his craziest dreams.

Through the messy crowd, you came,
I expected nothing, not even a name.
But then you spoke, your words a spark,
And my world lit up, no longer dark.

You loved Levi, it seemed so clear,
Amidst the others, you saw me here.
“Not perfect,” I murmured, but in my mind,
The perfect pose for your picture was all I could find.

I gave you my cloak—a small token to lend,
And smiled as I whispered, Tatakae, my friend.
The day went by, yet the moment stayed,
A thought I cherished, a memory replayed.

Would I see you again? Would I get a sign?
Some proof you were real, that you’d crossed my line.
And then it came—I smiled anew,
Our haze of words grew into something true.

I recall the exams, the tension, the grind,
Yet the memory of you stayed fresh in my mind.
The movie we watched, the moments we shared,
I barely noticed the plot—we were all that I cared.

Parting ways on a metro lane,
I hoped to see you, to feel you again.
Channeling my thoughts, my emotions through notes,
Never imagining where these feelings would float.

Meeting you once more was a dream come alive,
Though, yes, I admit, I fumbled, I tried.
I remember your sweet voice, your gentle plea—
“Grab something to eat,” but lost, I’d be.

Wandering streets, taking wrong turns,
I searched for snacks with a clumsy yearn.
Shops and shakes, a journey so long,
Yet finding your place made it feel less wrong.

And when we met, when we hugged at last,
It felt like eternity—time held fast.
Your sparkling eyes, your hair’s soft hue,
Brought hope like flowers kissed by dew.

In this wonder of a world, we came to be,
A fleeting moment of you and me.
Forever a bliss, a memory, a flame,
Though paths may part, I’ll remember your name.
