Unclaimed Master

By

Here I am again, I stand and look about, I used to be so good, I had no doubt. But what this complex world truly can mean, I hone my skill, but am forever unseen.

My mind is cloudy, the heavy fog won’t recede, I stay awake, awake from every misdeed. The world just waits right by, watching me stumble, A weary traveler, I remain ever humble.

I started walking toward a modest aim, A small, sure goal, to finish up the game. I never held those grand, ambitious wishes, I knew my limits, lacking all riches.

Still, I hoped to walk the simple, straight-set line, Where every single choice would be divine. But the path can fade, the edges often cross, And when I choose, I always fall for the loss.

I understood too late that I just cannot win, Imagine that gusty path, the rain on my skin. A cold, hard shower, where no safe place to hide is, He walks alone, enduring all the crises.

Never too strong, and he doesn’t know how to smile, Yet he shows the world a grin for a little while. He wanted to be better, trying to improve each test, He gives his whole self, but he’s never the best.

Yet he recalls what someone spoke that day: “A jack of all trades is a master of none, But oftentimes better than a master of one.”

He still wish to write more and will be back just stay stay here a little more….
