Ashes of the West and Snow of the north

By

There were once two souls —

two sides of the same coin.

One was bound for the West,

the other for the North.

The West was a man,

decent and kind,

carrying dreams of conquering the world,

to gather all happiness and love into his hands.

The North was a beautiful girl,

holding flowers in her palms,

with a smile soft as a morning breeze,

and eyes bright with endless dreams.

They traveled across lands and seas,

holding onto who they were,

believing their dreams could shape the world.

But fate had other plans.

One day,

the sky broke open —

and a cursed rock fell upon the earth,

shattering the world they knew.

The West began to burn.

The North froze into silence.

The man from the West watched his hopes crumble into ash,

and the girl from the North saw her flowers shatter into frozen dust.

The smiles they carried were lost to the flames and frost.

He wished to conquer a world that no longer existed.

She wished to bloom in a land where nothing could grow.

All that remained was smoke and snow,

ashes and silence.

Their breaths grew faint,

their hearts heavy,

until, with a final surrender,

they closed their eyes.

And time itself seemed to stop.

In that stillness,

they found each other —

as if their souls had always been calling across the void.

Through the agony,

through the emptiness,

they cried out together:

“One last try!”

Their voices echoed across the broken earth,

and they began to move —

through burning winds,

through frozen fields,

toward the center of the world.

Across the wasteland,

the West saw a girl cloaked in snow,

and the North saw a man wrapped in flames.

They came closer,

and closer still,

until they stood face to face —

silent, breathless.

There were no words now.

Only a feeling,

raw and true.

He reached out his burned hand,

and she reached out her frozen one.

And when their fingers touched —

fire found peace,

ice found warmth,

and something ancient and powerful awoke between them.

Maybe this was destiny.

Maybe all the ruin had simply cleared the way

for two broken souls to find each other.

The West learned he was never meant to conquer the world —

only to find love.

And the North learned her dreams were not lost —

they had simply been waiting for the right heart to share them with.

The world had ended.

But not them.

Not us.

Together,

hand in hand,

they built something new —

something the old world had forgotten.

A place made of ash and snow,

but also of hope,

of laughter,

of quiet love.

And in the ruins of everything,

they lived —

truly lived —

happily ever after.

Because even when the world falls apart,

some dreams,

and some loves,

are too strong to die.
