People call me a failure — it seems.
And I know the risk of feeling like a loser,
every single day.
I wake up to numbness.
My head feels heavy,
thoughts rolling but never settling.
Maybe this numbness has taken over,
because lately…
I don’t feel much at all.
The emptiness in my mind
has only made it worse.
The days grow long,
yet I can’t seem to hold a single moment inside.
I know I’ve failed.
But I try harder — I suppose.
Just an average guy,
not exceptional.
Just someone walking through it all.
I’ve given my best, day and night.
I try harder,
even when I know I may not make it.
I won’t lie.
Things feel mysterious now.
Like life has become one big illusion.
And yet —
there’s this dream I keep having.
I’m sitting beneath a tree,
the sun gently shining,
a cool breeze drifting by.
The sound of a lake nearby,
flowers blooming,
and a soft bed of grass beneath me.
Maybe that’s the day I’ve always longed for.
The failures — they never seem to leave.
I try, and try again.
But failure never seems to say goodbye.
I ask myself —
why does this happen to me?
I used to believe this was how God wanted me to grow.
And maybe, just maybe,
this place I see in my dream
is where I’ve always wanted to be.
Life feels like a hundred questions now.
What do I do?
What do I see?
Who will I become?
Is this all a lie?
Maybe this —
this wandering soul,
this person shaped by silence and stumbles —
is who I was always meant to be.
A failure,
yes.
But maybe one who shares what he’s learned
beneath the shade of a quiet tree.
Stories full of unforgettable regrets.
And scattered moments of joy.
Maybe I’m a storyteller.
Because my life has been full of both —
happiness and cries.
And if you’re still reading this —
still here with me —
then maybe you’ve seen what I’ve seen.
Maybe you imagined it:
sitting beneath that tree,
the sunny warmth above you,
a breeze against your face,
the soft scent of flowers,
the calm rustle of green grass.
Maybe you’re the one who dreams, too.
And if so —
this might not be a failure at all.
But who am I to say?
Let the thoughts sink in.
